About CAPS 
The Counseling and Psychological Services Clinic at James Madison University is part of the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services and the Department of Graduate Psychology at James Madison University. CAPS is a teaching, service, and research clinic that is dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing by providing mental health services for all members of our community. CAPS offers affordable outpatient mental health services to our community while providing graduate students in psychology experience in assessment and treatment for a variety of mental health issues. CAPS is equipped to provide individual, couple, and family therapy as well as conduct intellectual and psychological assessment, testing, and consultation. CAPS can also provide specialized services and referral for a variety of mental health and wellness issues offered through the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services and our community.
