A Special Message from the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services
At IIHHS we have reasons every day to remember with admiration and affection the leadership and vision and heart of Dr. Vida Huber. We owe so much to her legacy and we celebrate our ability to look forward to a future of innovations in HHS education, service and scholarship made brighter by her lasting leadership. She had partners and collaborators but hers was the voice that explained with such conviction and success why IIHHS was a dream that could come true at JMU.
Since her unexpected death in November, 2005, many who loved and admired her have made contributions toward the Vida Huber Endowment established in her honor to support the mission of IIHHS. For that Endowment to be funded, a minimum of $25,000 is needed. Gratefully, we are very close to this goal! Once there, the earnings from the Fund will be applied to IIHHS needs and the primary directive will be to show the stewardship that would make Vida smile.
If you can help us to cross the finish line for the Huber Endowment, your tax deductable contribution will honor Vida’s many achievements and ensure that valuable JMU programs continue to benefit our campus and community. Checks payable to the James Madison University Foundation with “Huber Endowment” on the memo line may be mailed to William McAnulty, Director of STEM/HHS Development, JMU, MSC 4112, Harrisonburg, VA 22807. Gifts may be extended online. Be sure to specify "The Vida Huber Endowment" in your gift designation information.
