Shenandoah Valley Child Development Clinic (CDC)
If your child is having difficulties in school or at home, the Shenandoah Valley Child Development Clinic (CDC) can help. Our multidisciplinary team will work with your family to determine if your child may be coping with a medical, developmental, behavioral, learning or emotional disorder. The Child Development Clinic serves children, adolescents, and young adults from birth to age 21. If you suspect that your child has a problem, the Shenandoah Valley Child Development Clinic is the best place to start. The multidisciplinary team performs comprehensive, diagnostic evaluations, which may include six different disciplines to address your child’s medical, behavioral, developmental, and emotional needs. The results of the evaluation will guide the recommendations for your child’s treatment. The Multidisciplinary Team includes professionals from a variety of disciplines including psychologists, physicians, nurses, social workers, and educators. Speech, language and audiology evaluations are also available.

Parent Infant Education (PIE)
PIE is an early intervention program for families of infants and toddlers from birth through age two who have actual, suspected, or potentially handicapping conditions or developmental delays. Services are provided to minimize the detrimental effects of a handicapping condition on children. Parents are team members in all phases of the PIE program and actively participate in evaluations, program planning, and teaching children.

Page County Health Department
The Page County Health Department has provided outreach to the Stanley region through childhood immunization clinics and school entry physicals for children in Page County.
Healthy Families Page County
Healthy Families Page County is a program in our community, which assists first-time families by providing resources, education, and support to promote positive parenting. The Healthy Families Staff visits new and expectant parents to determine how much support is needed. Some families may be referred to existing community resources while others will have the opportunity to work with a Healthy Families Support Worker.

Caregiver’s Community Network
Caregiver’s Community Network is a program to provide services, companionship, and support for those who are for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or memory loss and frail elders. CCN is made possible through a partnership between James Madison University, the Central Western Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. CCN is a Faith in Action program, which draws on the support of various interfaith groups across the Augusta, Page, Rockingham and Shenandoah counties. Caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease are the frail elderly experience a great amount of stress in day-to-day life. It is important for them to take care of themselves, as well as their loved ones. CCN can help to give caregivers a break and provide valuable time to themselves.
